Strong Growth for AICON Breuckmann
The German manufacturer of high precision white light scanners used in industrial measurement and inspection applications has achieved 28 percent of growth in 2012 and 32 percent in 2013, compared to the respective previous year.

For the second time in a row, Breuckmann GmbH (Meersburg, Germany) has increased orders by about 30 percent compared to the previous year. The leading provider of high precision white light scanners has achieved 28 percent of growth in 2012 and 32 percent in 2013, compared to the respective previous year. Thus, order volume has more than doubled since the acquisition of the company by AICON 3D Systems GmbH (Braunschweig, Germany). Especially big contributions were made by the Breuckmann subsidiary in Shanghai, founded in 2012, and the AICON subsidiary in Plymouth, MI.
“We exceed all our expectations, and it is already clear that our investments in new hard- and software developments have paid off. Furthermore, the joint worldwide sales network of AICON and Breuckmann gives us a good and close contact to our customers, and this is an essential factor for our success”, explains Kurt Sinnreich, the managing director at Breuckmann GmbH.
The Breuckmann white light scanners are mainly applied for industrial purposes such as inspection and reverse engineering. Especially the stereoSCAN R16 sets standards – it offers the highest sensor resolution available on the market. In the business field bodymetry and life science, the dental scanner d-STATION for fully automated digitization of dental models, casts and implants makes a big contribution to the company’s growth.
AICON 3D Systems is one of the world’s leading providers of optical camera-based 3D measuring systems. The company, founded in 1990, develops and distributes systems for the business areas of inspection and testing including car safety and tube inspection. Since the acquisition of Breuckmann GmbH in August 2012, the product range also includes scanners for 3D measurement of complex geometries.
