With its defined heat input, microMIG from SKS Welding Systems reduces distortion significantly: with MAG processes, it is higher by 35 percent to 50 percent.

ADVANCED AUTO-DARKENING WELDING HELMET FOR AFFORDABLE PRICE
The Tweco® auto-darkening welding helmet from Victor Technologies International, Inc. features four sensors for enhanced performance at an affordable price. It can be used in both weld mode and grind mode and will darken when TIG welding even at 5 amps. The helmet has a large viewing area of 3.86 in x 1.69 in, weighs 16 oz, uses solar power to eliminate the need to change batteries and offers all these features for an MSRP of $142.

REDUCING HEAT INPUT THE SMART WAY FOR JOINING THIN SHEETS
Every tried and tested welding and soldering method offers advantages in its specific field of application. For microMIG from SKS Welding Systems North America, this is especially the case with sheet thicknesses between 0.5 mm and 1.5 mm: well controllable reduced heat input, good gap bridging, minimum distortion and virtually spatter-free results.

HIGHLY VERSATILE ALUMINUM MIG WELDER AND MORE
Miller Electric Mfg. Co. offers the Millermatic® 350P Aluminum MIG welder, the first dedicated aluminum welding power source with a true torque push-pull design, electronic wire spool brake, Trigger Schedule Select and synergic capabilities in both MIG and Pulsed MIG weld settings. This makes it one of the most versatile products for welding aluminum by giving the operator the ability to tailor the arc to the weld by adjusting machine performance at the point-of-use — eliminating trips back and forth to the machine and concerns over wire feed consistency.

FASTEST WELD CLEANING AND PASSIVATION SYSTEM ON THE MARKET
Walter Surface Technologies has improved the Surfox weld electro-cleaning system. Underscoring a commitment to developing greener alternatives for the metalworking industry, this alternative to highly toxic methods for weld cleaning and chemical passivation now offers better cleaning performance, different models, a larger range of accessories, and an improved stainless steel passivation tester.

MIG GUN NOZZLES MINIMIZE CHANGEOVERS, REDUCE COSTS
To minimize the frequency and cost of changeovers associated with heat degradation and routine wear, Bernard offers the Quik Tip™ HD Series nozzles, featuring a removable nozzle cone. These nozzles offer an increased wall thickness and insulating material to help them withstand the heat of the welding arc for longer periods of time.

COMBINATION TORCH WELDS UP TO 1 INCH THICK, CUTS UP TO 8 INCHES THICK
ESAB Welding & Cutting Products offers the Purox Elite Series Combination Torch with the WH-4200 welding handle and the CA-4200 cutting attachment, along with a line of manual Straight Cutting Torches that provide up to 50 percent more cutting capacity than comparable designs with the ability to cut up to 10 in when using acetylene, and up to 12 in with alternate fuel gases.

NEW PRODUCT CATALOGS ON FILLER METAL SOLUTIONS
Hobart Brothers Company released that include specifications and product comparisons on the company’s full line of products, which includes tubular wires (metal-cored and flux-cored), solid wires and stick electrodes for welding carbon and low alloy steels, stainless steels and aluminum, as well as options for hardfacing.

PIPE PURGING SYSTEMS FOR PRE-HEATED PIPE WELDING
With the high temperatures and length of time at temperature needed in the pre-heat, weld and post heat treat cycles, most weld purging systems are unsuitable. However, Huntingdon Fusion Techniques has now developed “HotPurge™” Pipe Purging Systems, for use up to 300 deg C (572 deg F) for 24 hours. The material used is rated up to 700 deg C (1,292 deg F).

VIRTUAL REALITY SIMULATOR EXPANDS SUPPORT FOR LAP JOINT ON MILD STEEL, ALUMINUM, STAINLESS STEEL
The Lincoln Electric Company released the fifth VRTEX® Extensions™ software upgrade that includes a lap joint weld coupon with support for mild steel, aluminum and stainless steel in the virtual welding simulation environment – increasing the number of available and supported welds on the system from 105 to 141. They also offer an easy-to-use, digital-interface helmet into its VIKING™ Welding Helmet product group, and UltraCore® SR-12 gas-shielded flux-cored wire, a 75 percent – 80 percent Argon / balance CO2 gas-shielded flux-cored (FCAW-G) wirethat  is capable of meeting AWS E71T-12M-JH8 requirements in as-welded and stress-relieved conditions.

MALLEABLE CAST IRON CLAMPING SQUARES FOR MODULAR WELDING TABLES
Strong Hand Tools® offers BuildPro Malleable Cast Iron Clamping Squares, which are 4-face Heavy Duty Clamping Squares that feature a total of 26 mounting holes over three surfaces for unlimited options in fixturing with the BuildPro Modular Welding Tables.

ALUMINUM FILLER METALS APPROVED FOR WROUGHT COMMERCIAL APPLICATIONS
Maxal offers their patent-pending 4943 aluminum MIG wire and TIG cut-lengths, the first aluminum filler metal to be developed, registered by the Aluminum Association and classified by the American Welding Society (AWS) for wrought commercial applications in over 40 years.

MIG GUN LINER SYSTEM REDUCES DOWNTIME, ADDRESSES BURNBACKS AND WIRE-FEEDING ISSUES
To minimize costly downtime and prevent quality problems associated with incorrect MIG gun liner length, Tregaskiss offers its Quick Load™ Liner AutoLength™ System that reduces wire-feeding problems and decreases burnbacks, along with premature contact tip failure and wear associated with misalignment between the liner and contact tip.
