Beckman Returns to Sandvik Coromant to Help Infinite Hero Foundation

Jack Beckman returns to visit sponsor Sandvik Coromant US (Fair Lawn, NJ) for lunch and a tour of its new 110,000 sq ft headquarters and state-of-the-art Productivity Center.

Sandvik Coromant, a leading producer of tools for the world’s metal cutting industry, will host an employee lunch with the 2012 NHRA Funny Car world champion to kick off on May 29th through June 1st at NHRA Toyota Nationals nearby Old Bridge Township Raceway Park. Beckman will share lunch with Sandvik employees and to raise awareness for injured veterans.

In 2012, Jack spent an afternoon at Sandvik before the Summernationals and $2,800 was raised for the Wounded Warriors Project.

“We are excited to be able to support Jack once again in raising money for a great cause,” says Ester Codina, the vice president of marketing at Sandvik Coromant, “This shows that our relationship with Don Schumacher Racing and Jack Beckman truly goes beyond a traditional sponsorship.”

Beckman, who will drive a special edition Infinite Heroes Foundation Dodge Charger R/T Funny Car at Englishtown this year, also drove a Funny Car that featured Sandvik Coromant at NHRA Gatornationals in Florida this past March.

“That weekend was so special because Sandvik Coromant sent so many of their employees to the race,” said Beckman, who won an NHRA Sportsman world championship in 2003. A lot of times we use sponsorships to entertain customers but when we use it to entertain employees it is such a direct connection to them. When they see ‘Sandvik Coromant’ on the side of the racecar they call it ‘our car’ and it really is.”

Beckman, a cancer survivor and former sergeant in the U.S. Air Force, proudly wears his Sandvik Coromant colors as he will the “purple and black” of Infinite Hero this weekend.

The Infinite Hero Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing critical funding to programs that combat the most difficult front-line issues – both mental and physical – facing returning military personnel and their families.

Beckman added, “Not a dime of the money that would go to the soldiers goes into this race car. Our Dodge is being used as an awareness tool to help raise money for these soldiers and gave more to our country than we ever could have asked.”
