Haas Automation Appoints New European Director
Jens Thing is now responsible growing sales of CNC machine tools in Europe through the Brussels office and through Haas Factory Outlets.

Haas Automation, Inc. (Oxnard, CA), is pleased to announce the appointment of Jens Thing to the role of managing director of Haas Automation Europe, the company’s European Headquarters, in Brussels, Belgium.
Thing, a Danish national, is an accomplished and respected machine tool professional, with more than 25 years of experience in sales, marketing, technical, and management positions. In recent years, he has achieved significant success in global marketing management for well-known, multi-national manufacturing technology companies. His appointment is part of Haas Automation’s strategy to double annual worldwide sales over the next five years.
“Jens Thing has an excellent understanding of Haas products, our customers, and our markets in Europe,” says Peter Zierhut, Haas vice president of European operations. “We have set the goal of doubling Haas sales revenue around the world over the next few years. Most of this new business will come from outside of the U.S., and Europe will be a key contributor.

Thing holds an MBA from the University of Toronto, Canada, and the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland.
