Okuma America Welcomes New Director of Marketing
Julie Murphy has been promoted and is now responsible for marketing activities in the Western Hemisphere, including strategic development to meet corporate sales, market share and profitability objectives, in addition to working with the global marketing team to ensure worldwide brand consistency.

Okuma America Corporation (Charlotte, NC), a world leader in CNC machine tools, is pleased to announce the promotion of Julie Murphy, to director of marketing. She will be responsible for marketing activities in the Western Hemisphere including strategic development to meet the corporate sales, market share and profitability objectives, in addition to working with the global marketing team to ensure worldwide brand consistency.
Murphy has served as marketing manager since joining the company in December of 2008.
Okuma America Corporation has seen significant changes in the strategic marketing direction of the company under Murphy’s leadership. “Since Julie joined Okuma America Corporation, the level of professionalism and quality of our marketing reach and effectiveness in the CNC machine tool industry has grown significantly. Murphy holds an MBA in Marketing from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte and a BS in Marketing from Miami University. She has 20 years of experience in B2B marketing, strategic planning, product development and marketing communications in the manufacturing industry.
