TÜV Rheinland Appoints New Senior Vice President of Products
David Haataja is now responsible for business development in global standards for the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

TÜV Rheinland North America, Inc. (Boxborough, MA) has appointed David Haataja as the senior vice president of products for the United States, Canada and Mexico. The company serves customers in commercial, electrical, chemical and medical products fields, and Haataja will be responsible for enhancing operations, driving new business development, and representing the North American region in the international regulatory committees and industry associations.
Haataja has more than 35 years of business development and operations leadership experience. In his new position with TUV Rheinland North America, he brings in-depth knowledge of market access, business development, global standards, testing, inspection, certification, and regulatory acceptance.
Highlights of Haataja’s career include a four-year post in Washington, D.C. working with regulatory agencies, trade associations, the Department of Commerce, and the United States Trade Representative.
Haataja has experience in business development, directing operations and building relations with customers, trade associations and government organizations in Argentina and Brazil. Most recently, he led the water quality improvement industry as the chief executive officer and the executive director of the Water Quality Association.
