Honeywell Safety Products (Smithfield, RI) has announced that its product launch video of the new Uvex Turboshield won a New England Emmy Award for editing. The award, from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS), recognizes superior editing in short promotional videos, public service announcements, commercials and opens.

Available by clicking here, the video strikingly conveys the unique features and benefits of the patented Uvex Turboshield face shield, an industry-changing face protection system developed in response to rigorous customer research.

Created by Scott Maiocchi of advertising agency (add)ventures, the video is the centerpiece of a marketing and sales campaign targeting distributors and safety managers. “This product launch video raises the bar for industrial product videos,” said Erica Osley, the regional product general manager for Eye, Face and Head Protection at Honeywell. “We’re proud of the great work resulting from our work with (add)ventures. Congratulations to Scott Maiocchi and his team on this well-deserved honor.”

The concept for the product launch video originated from the company’s continuing goal to create products that increase safety for all workers. In order to make the Uvex Turboshield prominent and memorable and to reinforce its innovative features and unique customer benefits, the (add)ventures video team used a slow motion technique and edited the video in a manner that emphasizes the intensity of industrial environments and the need for the product.

“We are thrilled to partner with clients who entrust us to make creative decisions that have impact,” said Steve Rosa, the founder and chief executive officer of (add)ventures. “Their receptiveness to big picture ideas is critical to fully engaging our creativity and expertise in making products stand out.”

NATAS is the premier and most recognized non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of excellence in television. The Academy’s Emmy Award is the most prestigious, peer-judged honor in television for outstanding creative achievement. The Boston/New England chapter represents all the broadcast markets in Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont and Connecticut (except for Fairfield County).
