Royal Engineered Composites (Minden, NE) has moved into the international aviation market with deliveries on a new contract by Fokker Aerostructures. Royal is manufacturing the fin top fairing for the vertical tail section on a new business jet platform.
Fokker is responsible for the innovative design and manufacturing of the complete tail section. The empennage will feature advanced lightweight solutions and will be produced in the Dutch Fokker facilities in Papendrecht and Hoogeveen.
Royal is manufacturing the fin top fairing in their facility in Minden. The first parts were shipped to Fokker in March of this year, and production is expected to ramp up in the near future.
Royal Engineered Composites offers complete design, manufacturing and prototyping services, as well as technical support for aerospace and defense companies. Until 2010, Royal was known by its original name “Royal Plastics”.
The name change to Royal Engineered Composites reinforces the company as an industry leader in the production of composite parts and more accurately represents the company’s technical capabilities and state-of-the-art facilities, equipment and expertise.
