Sandvik Coromant (Fair Lawn, NJ) is proud to announce a carbide recycling campaign to benefit Workshop for Warriors (WFW). During the months of July, August and September, $1 will be donated to Workshops for Warriors for each pound of recycled carbide received. The cutting tool manufacturer is honored to support this non-profit organization that trains, certifies and places veterans of the U.S. Armed Services in manufacturing careers.
The Workshops for Warriors president, Hernán Luis y Prado, is elated about this year’s campaign. “With the donation from last year, we were able to complete a much-needed CAD/CAM lab which allowed us to triple our capacity to train veterans on that equipment. Seeing the results from a one-month campaign, we are excited about how many veterans can benefit from this year’s three-month campaign. Thank you to all of the customers who send in their recycled carbide.”
To recycle your used carbide inserts and solid carbide round tools, order your free recycling kit by calling the Sandvik Coromant customer service center at 1-800-726-3845. Or you can visit the company website.
Sandvik Coromant will pay a competitive price per pound for recycled carbide during July, August and September and will also donate $1 per pound to Workshop for Warriors. New for this year, customers may choose to receive a recycling voucher which is redeemable for product with an additional 50 percent at list price.
For example, customers who would receive a $1,000 check would receive a recycling voucher for $1,500 redeemable for product. Vouchers are valid for six months from issue date for standard stock or product.
All Recycling Return Authorizations (RRAs) must be issued by Sandvik Coromant from July 1 through September 30, 2014 to be eligible for the $1 per pound donation to Workshops for Warriors. The shipment must be received at our designated facility within 15 business days from the issuance of the RRA. RRAs issued on September 30, 2014, the last day of the campaign, must be received no later than October 15, 2014.
