Takeshi Yamamoto has been announced as the new market manager for Hypertherm’s operations in Mexico.

Hypertherm, Inc. (Hanover, NH), a U.S.-based manufacturer of plasma, laser, and waterjet cutting systems, has announced a new market manager for its operations in Mexico, naming Takeshi Yamamoto to the role.

Yamamoto brings an extensive knowledge of the welding and cutting industry having served as both a technical service and product applications engineer for Hypertherm, and previously a mechanized cutting expert and welding applications engineer for Praxair, one of North America’s largest welding and gas distribution companies. In addition, he is responsible for leading the expansion of Hypertherm’s waterjet and integrated cutting solutions business within Mexico.

“Hypertherm is very fortunate to have someone like Takeshi leading the team in Mexico,” commented Jeff Deckrow, the vice president of North American Sales for Hypertherm. “His leadership skills when combined with his knowledge of the Mexican market and our industry will result in strong support for our business partners and their customers alike.”

Yamamoto takes the reigns from Israel Gonzalez who was recently promoted regional director of Hypertherm’s Asia Pacific business and is now based in Singapore.

Hypertherm designs and manufactures advanced cutting products for use in a variety of industries such as shipbuilding, manufacturing, and automotive repair. Its product line includes plasma, laser and waterjet cutting systems, in addition to CNC motion and height controls, CAM nesting software, and consumables.

Hypertherm systems are trusted for performance and reliability that result in increased productivity and profitability for hundreds of thousands of businesses. The New Hampshire based company’s reputation for cutting innovation dates back nearly 50 years to 1968, with Hypertherm’s invention of water injection plasma cutting.

The 100 percent associate owned company, consistently named one of the best places to work in America, has more than 1,300 associates along with operations and partner representation worldwide.
