Miniature Casting Corporation (Cranston, RI), a manufacturer of precision zinc die cast components based in the Howard Industrial Park in Cranston, is pleased to announce the appointment of Stephan Toljan as president.

Toljan comes to Miniature Casting from Swarovski North America, where he had a long and successful career in marketing and sales, with extensive global experience developing and growing consumer and business-to-business market segments.

A senior business leader with fluency in English, German and Portuguese, and vast experience within the North American, South American and European markets, his primary objectives will be to improve MCC’s market penetration in the U.S. and to develop international business opportunities in various industry segments.

“There is definitely a positive trend in the industry,” says Toljan, “U.S.-based manufacturing is growing, and the outlook for both automotive and new home construction industries is positive, which are both important segments for the die casting business. I am very excited to be part of MCC’s team and to lead this Rhode Island based manufacturer into a successful future.”

Robert Piacitelli, who has served as the president of MCC since 1980, will maintain his role as chairman of the board. “I am thrilled to pass the responsibility to Stephan at this time”, said Piacitelli. “He brings the right experience, leadership skills and strategic vision to our company, which will allow us to expand our market position and accelerate our sales growth.”
