Integrity Saw & Tool Earns ISO Certification
IST is the first KOMET SERVICE Partner to earn the international quality standard certification.

Integrity Saw & Tool (IST; Fond du Lac, WI) and KOMET of America, are pleased to announce that IST, a KOMET SERVICE® Partner, have attained ISO 9001:2008 certification. All Partners are currently working to obtain ISO 9001:2008 certifications, and IST is the first North American Partner to complete the process.
This certification, established by the International Organization for Standardization, ensures that customers receive goods of a consistently high quality, and that all regulatory requirements are met, regardless of the nature of the product or the industry. A certification with such broad applicability naturally carries with it a great degree of steps and requirements; as such, IST’s certification shows the commitment to quality and customer assurance that they share with KOMET.
“This is certainly a big day for them,” says Tom Whennen, a manager at KOMET SERVICE North America, “but it is an equally big step for us as a whole, too. All of our Partners are actively engaged in the ISO certification process, and we have a couple Partners who are on the heels of IST. We anticipate their certifications in the next few months. This is important to all of us, as it shows our dedication to quality solid carbide tooling and customer satisfaction. Above all else, we are ultimately accountable to our customers, and ISO certification demonstrates this accountability.”

IST joined the KOMET SERVICE network in July 2013. Since then, they have been licensed to regrind and recoat KOMET solid carbide tools to original, KOMET-grade standards and to manufacture custom KOMET solid carbide tools. As always, IST also refurbishes and manufactures custom saw blades for a variety of applications.
