New Automation Specialist at Heidenhain
Jonathan Dougherty is now responsible for automation product support of rotary encoders, slip rings and resolvers.

Heidenhain Corporation (Schaumburg, IL) has announced the new hire of Jonathan Dougherty as the North American product specialist for their Automation Division.
Based in Schaumburg, Dougherty is responsible for automation product support including the company’s rotary encoders, slip rings and resolvers. Heidenhain markets such products under their own brand as well as their Renco, Leine & Linde and LTN brands.
Providing product support to North American customers and prospects, Dougherty specializes in finding solutions for applications such as in robotics, servo drives, oil and gas equipment, elevators and 3D printing equipment, to name a few. He is also responsible for assisting in the market research and marketing of his product area, and also occasionally travels to customer destinations as support.
A graduate of University of Illinois – Champaign-Urbana, Dougherty received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Engineering. While in college, he served as a U of I Engineering Ambassador, as well as served as a project manager for the university’s Learning in Community (LIC), a program that led students in the community on engineering endeavors.
