Röhm Products of America (Lawrenceville, GA), a leading provider of high-quality clamping and gripping technology, recently promoted Ervin Vallejo, the former regional sales manager of their Midwest territory, to automations product manager in a move intended to increase visibility and support for the company’s end-of-arm tooling in North America. The company also welcomed Tim Heitzman, the regional sales manager for their Southeast territory, and Adis Malkoc, the service center coordinator.
Leading a team that includes staff from North America and Germany, Vallejo is now responsible for building the company’s automation business throughout North America by targeting robotic workholding distributors and integrators. While the company’s smart, flexible end-of-arm tooling for any robot in any industry is well known and widely used abroad, Rohm Products of America seeks to grow market share for its grippers, swivel units, tool changers and more at home.
Based in the Chicago area, Vallejo has been with the company for the past three years and has 19 years total experience in the machine tool industry. His background includes design engineering, technical consulting for sales staff and technical sales.
As the new regional sales manager for the company’s Southeast territory, Heitzman is tasked with augmenting product sales and support in Florida, Georgia, Alabama and Mississippi. His personal goal is to make Rohm Products of America the “go-to” company for workholding in that region.
A 25-year veteran of sales in the metalworking industry, Heitzman has previously worked for two of Röhm’s competitors and won four awards for setting sales records at each company. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in public relations from Northern Illinois University and has completed two management-training programs from Caterpillar and Kelly-Springfield.
In his new role, Adis Malkoc will handle a variety of tasks, such as managing the flow of the company’s service department, dispatching service engineers for on-site repairs, fielding customer service requests and managing the service center’s spare parts inventory. Previously employed at Reed Construction Data, Malkoc has a solid background in research and management.
Röhm Products of America chief executive officer Matthew Mayer said, “We are happy to have these dedicated, hardworking individuals on our team. With a combined experience of nearly 45 years in the metalworking industry, these gentlemen will make us better poised to grow our workholding business throughout North America and provide optimal service to both new and existing customers.”
Röhm Products of America, a division of the Röhm Group, has been a leading provider of high-quality clamping and gripping technology to the North American metalworking industry since 1978.
The company’s broad and powerful product portfolio encompasses drill chucks, live centers, lathe chucks, vices, automation technology, power chuck technology, mandrels, tool clamping systems and customized solutions for turning, milling, drilling and grinding applications.
The company also takes pride in providing world-class support and services to ensure trouble-free machining processes for its customers within the aerospace, automotive, energy, engineering, micro technology and rail vehicle manufacturing sectors.
