TCI Precision Metals (Gardena, CA), a leading supplier of Precision Machine-Ready Blanks and Contract Machining Services, has announced it has received ISO 9001:2008 + AS9100C Certification from SAI Global Certification Services.
The dual certification covers all of the ISO 9001:2008 quality management system requirements and specifies additional requirements under AS9100C for a quality management system for the aerospace industry.
“This dual certification reflects our commitment to constant improvement and quality processes that meet or exceed internationally recognized quality benchmarks,” said Ben Belzer, the president of TCI.
The certification is a direct benefit to TCI Contract Machining and Machine-Ready Blanks customers. Specifically, Machine-Ready Blanks contribute to both quality improvement and lean manufacturing by reducing part movement during CNC machining, eliminating material prep time, reducing set up time and reducing overall CNC cycle time.
Founded in 1956, TCI Precision Metals is a family-owned precision manufacturer producing precision Machine-Ready Blanks from aluminum, stainless steel and other alloys.
Sawing, Grinding, Milling and Finishing operations with the added benefit of being a plate and sheet distributor for Alcoa make TCI Precision Metals a one stop source for quality aluminum, stainless and other alloy blanks. TCI serves the needs of the medical, oil & gas, aerospace, industrial equipment, defense, food packaging, semiconductor and many other industries.
