Hobart Institute Elects New Trustee
Directors of the institute have elected Steve Tirpak, a long-time advisory board member.

The directors of the Hobart Institute of Welding Technology (Troy, OH) have elected Steve Tirpak to serve as a trustee. A graduate of Pennsylvania State University and Ohio State University, Tirpak worked for the State of Ohio, Ohio Workforce Guarantee (formerly Ohio Investment in Training Program), Workforce and Talent Division as the executive director, training coordinator, business services coordinator for 27 years. Prior to that, Tirpak was a program associate for the National Center for Vocational Education.
“In the 14 years that I have been involved with Hobart Institute of Welding Technology, I have been extremely impressed with the positive growth and transition the institute has made. It is exciting to see the welding booths full and enrollment growing. I hope to contribute to the ever growing success of the organization,” said Tirpak.
Tirpak was a HIWT advisory board member for fourteen years. He holds a Master of Arts, Vocational in Technical Education with emphasis in Business and Industry Training, Instructional System Design and Adult Education.
