ARKU Maschinenbau GmbH (Baden-Baden, Germany), a leading global manufacturer of high-performance levelers and coil handling equipment, has appointed Marcus Bartle to the newly created position of Co-Managing Director. Bartle will serve in an operations role in support of managing shareholder Albert Reiss.

“Our company is continuously growing, both domestically and internationally,” Reiss stated. “Dual leadership allows us to pursue a wider range of initiatives with our combined energy.” Bartle is primarily responsible for business operations, while Reiss is focusing increasingly on strategic issues. The executive management team of five experienced vice presidents continues to support the managing directors.

“Our business has become increasingly international,” Reiss explained. “We want to remain able to make rapid decisions and react to changes. That is why I am very pleased to have the support of Mr. Bartle and look forward to working with him.” In the future, both Reiss and Bartle will manage company activities with sole rights of representation.

Bartle joined the company in 2012 as manager of the Feeding Lines and Services businesses. In this role he was responsible for the entire process chain – from engineering and technology to sales and project management. In addition, he advanced the worldwide expansion of ARKU service.

Founded in 1928, ARKU has been the market and technology leader for leveling and feeding technology for almost 50 years and offers the world’s largest range of high-performance and precision levelers. Its headquarters are located in Baden-Baden, but the company also maintains ISO-certified subsidiaries in Kunshan (China) and Cincinnati (U.S.), serving markets in almost 30 countries. The product range covers precision levelers for parts, slitting lines, cut-to-length lines, press feeding lines and coil preparation lines for profile manufacturers.

The company delivers precision levelers to clients from the automotive, construction and furniture industries along with shipbuilding, railway, laser job shops and many other fields.
