The board of directors for Jorgenson Industrial Companies (Salt Lake City, UT) announced today that Jared Peterson has been appointed president of their JMT USA (South Salt Lake, UT) division following Kyle Jorgenson’s resignation two weeks ago.
Peterson has worked as the service and operations manager at JMT for the past eleven years. In that position he worked closely with both customers and machine tool suppliers. He has been in this industry for over 20 years and has built a solid reputation of integrity.
“We are excited to announce Jared’s appointment and are completely confident in his abilities to assume leadership of our JMT USA division. He’s well respected throughout the machine tool industry and the entire Jorgenson organization. His extensive knowledge of the industry, his hands-on machine tool application experience and his commitment to our organization, staff, vendors and customers will help the company move forward. His many accolades and wealth of experience made this an obvious and easy choice,” says company co-owner Dustin Jorgenson.
For the past five years JMT has been on a strong growth trajectory, expanding from a regional to a national supplier. Best known for sheet metal equipment with a focus on press brakes and plate rolls, the company has expanded its product line to include fiber lasers and structural drill lines.
Assisting Peterson in the day-to-day operations will be Rob Yorgason, who was named general manager of JMT in September, 2014. Also supporting Perterson is a strong team of experienced people in sales, service, parts and logistics, including industry veterans Ken Bartelli as national sales manager and Matt Bollinger as purchasing and logistics manager.
“We have a bright future with both the people and the resources to continue growing in the machine tool industry,” noted Jorgenson. Jorgenson Industrial Companies has multiple business divisions that are family owned and operated. The company has been in business providing “strong customer service” since 1967, serving markets in machine tools, material handling, lockers and shelving. It has facilities in Salt Lake City and Atlanta, GA.
