Configurable safety systems are suitable for implementing multiple safety functions throughout the plant, on machine tools and other equipment. Thanks to their modular structure, PNOZmulti systems from Pilz Automation Safety, L.P. (Canton, MI) can be adapted to the size of the plant and machinery. These configurable safety systems are a worldwide safety standard for all machine types.

With a large number of the most diverse modules, such as speed or standstill monitors, safe analogue input modules and a variety of base units, PNOZmulti systems enable a manufacturer to design and standardize their overall strategic set of safety applications with the utmost flexibility.

For example, the PNOZmulti 2 configurable control system can be used as a stand-alone or as a modular expandable alternative, and now there are two additional communication modules available for connection: Ethernet/IP and PROFINET. You configure the virtual I/O in the usual manner in the software tool, PNOZmulti Configurator. Instead of wiring, you simply configure your safety circuit on a PC. As an open, configurable control system, PNOZmulti 2 can be used in multiple industries.
