Breckers Cutting Tools is New KOMET Partner

KOMET of America, Inc. (Detroit, MI) and Breckers Cutting Tools (Warren, MI) recently hosted a grand opening event to officially commence their KOMET Service® Partnership. In addition to the ceremony, guests toured the Breckers manufacturing facility in Roseville, MI, and saw live demonstrations of the shop equipment in action.
The addition of Breckers is an example of the explosive growth that KOMET Service has experienced in North America recently. They now have 20 partners in Europe and ten in North America, and Breckers, located just outside of Detroit, represents a key segment of the network.
“The growth we’re experiencing right now is very exciting,” said Tom Whennen, the manager of KOMET Service in North America and the company’s director of channels. “We’re privileged to have them as one of our partners. They are a top-notch tooling shop. Adding a partner in Michigan also reaffirms our commitment to the automotive industry, and there is no better regrind company to service the automotive industry than them.”
While the well-attended open house was only one evening, the preparation leading up to the event has been months in the making. The KOMET team and Breckers staff have been working together to train technicians and operators in the Roseville shop and develop a market strategy. This spirit of collaboration and cooperation is integral to the KOMET Service philosophy.
Breckers is starting the partnership in earnest and with excitement. Chelsey Gumro, the chief marketing officer at the company, explained, “Now that the excitement of the grand opening has passed, it’s all about generating results. We are now focused on working with their sales engineers. We will work together to ensure the success of this partnership by finding out what we can bring to our customers through this new venture. It’s go time, and we cannot wait to see the results.”
The event also benefited Hope Ranch (Metamora, MI), a faith-based non-profit committed to providing hope to people in need. Among other programs, Hope Ranch facilitates programs for inner-city youth as well as support for orphan and foster care programs. In addition to holding a fund raiser at the event, Breckers reaffirmed their commitment to charity and to their community by pledging five per cent of their 2015 profits to Hope Ranch.
