DocMagnet Inc. (Raleigh, NC), premiered their new permanent-electro (PE) battery operated lifter at IMTS 2014 last September. The prototype unit is the first in a family of cordless PE magnetic products currently under development. The “BEELiFT” was enthusiastically received at the widely-attended show, and the company offered 15 units to customers for beta testing. Now that the beta trials are complete, the company has proceeded with production.
The BEELiFT boasts the following features: push button technology, anti-demag safety mechanism to prevent accidental release of the load, a lithium-ion battery, external battery charger, low battery alarm, tilt sensors, and an auto-on function for remote operation. There is also a built-in degaussing feature for removing residual magnetism, as well as an option for a hand held wireless remote. The BEELiFT is a brand new product which comes in standard sizes of 500 lb, 1,000 lb, and 2,000 lb units.
Ed Kroliczak, the head of sales and marketing at DocMagnet, is excited about introducing the lifter onto the industrial market. “This lifter has several built is safety features designed to protect the operator, many of which are not seen on other lifters currently being sold,” explains Kroliczak. “The BEELiFT is very powerful, compact, and simple to use. We are upping the ante on safety and innovation for material handling devices.”
