On the manufacturing floor, maintenance and set-up technicians are often interrupted while performing these necessary tasks. During the interruptions it is preferable that no one else touch the machine so as not to impede the repair or set-up process. In many instances, the technician merely places a note on the door or control screen of the machine asking people to “Do not touch.”
