North American Tool Corporation (South Beloit, IL) has announced the retirement of the senior vice president of sales and marketing, Bernie Bowersock, effective July 1, 2015.
“For the last 23 years Bernie has been instrumental in growing our family of companies to become leading suppliers of specialized cutting tools across the globe. Through his strong focus on relationships, Bernie has earned his reputation as an industry expert and go-to source for technical knowledge, a genuinely good guy who’ll be there for you anytime, anywhere,” said the North American Tool president and chief executive officer Curt Lansbery.
Early in his career, Bowersock worked with industry giants Briggs Weaver, Carboloy and Cleveland Twist Drill and, thanks to his sales and technical ability, ventured into the world of industrial distribution as part-owner of McAustin Distribution Company in the early 1980s. In 1986, he joined Weldon Tool Company and was quickly promoted to national sales manager, where he worked until joining the North American Tool team in 1993.
Bowersock has served on industry boards and committees that include the Statistical Committee for USCTI and the Global Trade & Membership Committee of ISA. He currently serves as a member of the ISA Strategic Information Committee. He also sits on two Industrial Round Tables for the Federal Reserve in Chicago and continues his devotion through his extensive industry and community involvement.
In his hometown, Bowersock is a board member of Meals on Wheels, the Stateline Mass Transit District, and is proud to be a tutor for children through the YMCA and local Boys and Girls Club. At this time, all communication and inquiries should be directed to RoseAnn Haedt, the marketing coordinator at rhaedt@natool.com.
