Takisawa Opens U.S. Headquarters
The machine tool builder centrally locates a 13,500 sq ft facility in the northwest suburbs of Chicago.

Machine tool builder Takisawa, Inc. celebrated and marked the grand opening of their U.S. headquarters in Schaumburg, IL, with a traditional Japanese Kagamiwari ceremony on May 28, 2015. Over 100 machine tool industry executives and local officials gathered at the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center Hotel as Takisawa representatives cracked open a barrel of sake with mallets to toast the machine tool builder’s expansion in the United States.
With a presence in the U.S. since 1963, Takisawa’s headquarters was established here to provide additional service and support to its growing U.S. customer base. “Through of our new technical center, I expect our volume of U.S. sales to be $30 million in the near future,” said Kazuhiro Harada, the president of Takisawa Machine Tool Co. Ltd. (Okayama, Japan).
Tours and an open house the day after the ceremony provided visitors with machining demonstrations, examples of training and test-cut capabilities and previews of the state-of-the-art showroom, spare parts warehouse and machine service/rebuild center. Built from the ground up on 2.4 acres, this 13,500 sq ft facility is centrally located in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. To complement this new space, the company unveiled its latest tagline: Building Trust through Innovation.
Their extensive machine line includes lathes, piston machines, multipurpose machines, vertical machining centers and more.
