CountyLine Tool Certified as Women’s Business Enterprise

This can open many doors to work with companies and government agencies that have procurement diversity initiatives in place.

KOMET of America, Inc. (Schaumburg, IL) and CountyLine Tool (East Peoria, IL), North America’s first KOMET SERVICE® Partner, are pleased to announce that CountyLine Tool is now officially recognized as a Women’s Business Enterprise. This certification is awarded by the Women’s Business National Enterprise Council, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to certifying woman-owned businesses and providing resources, opportunities, and engagement to the businesses they certify.

Being certified as a women’s business enterprise brings many benefits and opens many doors, including work with companies and government agencies that have procurement diversity initiatives in place. Companies like CountyLine Tool allow their customers to get high quality products while also meeting their diversity and opportunity goals.

Vonda Jones, the president of CountyLine Tool, was quick to express her excitement about the certification, explaining, “It’s very rewarding to finally have achieved my certification; this is not something that is just handed out. Since buying CountyLine Tool, I have invested heavily in the business and in its people; my blood, sweat, and tears are in this business! This certification has been a two-year journey, and I’ve worked very hard to get this, determined to not quit until I succeeded. Now certified, I look forward to being a part of the WBNEC. I intend to market this women owned business certification, and to expand my customer base with it.”

Meanwhile, KOMET of America is equally enthused for this development. Tom Whennen, the director of channels and manager of KOMET SERVICE in North America, stated, “Although every business with which we work is a tooling and regrind shop, we have always prided ourselves on the diversity of those businesses and the diversity and uniqueness of the people who own and lead these businesses. Vonda has worked hard to make CountyLine Tool the reputable business that it is. We cannot express how happy we are for her to have this recognition, and how happy we are to work with such a leading and entrepreneurial woman.”

The KOMET SERVICE Network provides fast and easy refurbishment of solid carbide cutting tools with fair and transparent prices and local pickup and delivery services through Partners, now ten strong in North America, which are the only regrind shops trained and certified by KOMET of America with access to original tool drawings and geometries direct from the factory.
