Motion Industries Acquires Lake Erie Abrasives & Tool

Effective August 21, Motion Industries, Inc. (Birmingham, AL) a wholly-owned subsidiary of Genuine Parts Company, entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Lake Erie Abrasive & Tool Company, Inc. (LEA&T; Euclid, OH). Consummation of the transaction is expected to take place in early September 2015.
LEA&T specializes in custom-designed abrasive systems as well as distribution of quality abrasive products, tools and related machinery. The Euclid location, as well as its two locations in Greer, SC, and Howell, MI, serve shops in a broad cross-section of industries operating in those geographic areas and beyond.
