Auto Recovery of Submerged Arc Flux

Weld Engineering showcases the new FTV-3000 Flux Valve that automatically transfers recovered submerged arc flux from the recovery hopper to the lower pressure feed tank of the pressure feed and recovery system for submerged arc welding.

The FTV-3000 Flux Valve from Weld Engineering automatically transfers Recovered Submerged Arc Flux from the Recovery hopper to the lower Pressure Feed tank of their Pressure Feed and Recovery system for submerged arc welding, allowing the operator to simply push a button on his remote system control panel to add new flux to the Pressure Feed Tank.

In Booth N-13025, Weld Engineering Co., Inc. (Shrewsbury, MA) showcases a new and innovative Submerged Arc Welding product: their new FTV-3000 Flux Valve automatically transfers Recovered Submerged Arc Flux from the Recovery hopper to the lower Pressure Feed tank of their very popular PFR-3000 Pressure Feed and Recovery system for submerged arc welding. The FTV-3000 allows the operator to simply push a button on his remote system control panel to add new flux to the Pressure Feed Tank.

Without the FTV-3000, the operator must walk to the PFR-3000 and manually turn off the air pressure, then turn a hand wheel to open the valve, wait for the flux to transfer to the lower Pressure Tank, then turn the hand wheel to close the flux valve and turn the air pressure back on. He could then finally be able to resume welding. Optional features available for the FTV-3000 allow the valve to automatically transfer flux when the flux is at a low level in the pressure feed tank and automatically close when full.
