Y.K. Choi now heads their machine tool business.

Doosan Infracore America Machine Tools (Pine Brook, NJ) has announced the appointment of Y.K. Choi to the position of chief executive officer. Choi has been in the manufacturing industry for over 30 years. During his tenure he has served in several positions, including the vice president of strategy, sales and marketing for the Doosan Industrial Vehicles business, the vice president of aftermarket business for Doosan Infracore Construction Equipment, vice president of strategy for Doosan Infracore Corporate center and senior vice president of strategy, finance and operations for the machine tools business.
Choi’s early experience includes four years as a production engineer for machine tools and eight years as a research and development engineer/manager for industrial vehicles. “Manufacturing in America is rebounding in a big way, and doing so very quickly,” he says. “I know that we are going to meet those needs and provide superior products with unparalleled customer support and service. Born and raised in Seoul, Korea, Choi pursued his higher education in Seoul, including his undergraduate degree at Seoul National University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering followed by an Advanced Management Program in Business School of Yonsei University. He has a wife, son and daughter.
