The new WS-625 hand-held weld shaver uses standard carbide inserts in a milling cutter to shave weld beads flush to a workpiece.

Heck Industries (Hartland, MI) has added a new hand-held weld shaver to their line of fabricating equipment. The new weld shaver uses standard carbide inserts in a milling cutter to shave weld beads flush to a workpiece. Ideal for cleaning butt welds and corner welds, the weld shaver will remove only the weld and not damage surrounding materials such as conventional grinding of joints. The 2 hp Model WS-625 will quickly remove welds at 6 fpm to 8 fpm.
