In Booth C-1519, Realityworks, Inc. (Eau Claire, WI) announces a new product for welding educators and trainers: the RealCareer® Welding Solutions Weld Defects Kit, which join the company’s current line of experiential learning tools for welding education, including the guideWELD® VR welding simulator and the guideWELD® LIVE real welding guidance system.

The portable, lightweight Weld Defects Kit contains 13 plastic, true-to-life models of common defects that can occur when welding. Educators can use the kit to inspect welds and instruct welding students on how to identify and correct common defects and discontinuities. Students can use it to understand how weld defects occur and how to address them by correcting both their machine and their technique. The Weld Defects Kit includes an instructor guide, welding posters, welding defect flashcards and comprehensive curriculum with training lessons covering major aspects of welding: welding safety, types and applications of welding, and weld testing.
