Sharpe Products Adds Pipe & Tube Bending Capacity
A Unison 76 mm Breeze all-electric bender and a BLM LT5 fiber optic tube laser cutting machine increase their fabrication services capacity, with more on the way.

In keeping up with customer demand and the continuous need for shorter and shorter lead times, Sharpe Products (New Berlin, WI) has recently added another Unison 76 mm Breeze all-electric bender to their bending capacity, and the addition of a 100 mm Breeze Unison bender is anticipated for the end of November 2015. The 76 mm system bends up to 3 in OD tube, while the 100 mm will be able to bend up to 4 in OD. Both provide high accuracy and repeatability, along with the multi-radius capabilities and tube generation like their existing Unison tube bending technology that the team utilizes.
Along with the addition of these tube bending machines, an additional fiber optic tube laser cutting machine has also been added to their tube laser cutting capacity, the BLM LT5. With continually increasing tube bending and tube laser cutting capacities, Sharpe strives to keep lead times down. Once jobs have started the production process, they usually ship within two weeks, with the majority of them being shipped within a week or less. There are, of course, factors that can extend a lead time longer than anticipated, such as the required material, part complexity, quantities and the availability of the machinery needed for the project.
