“I look forward to my new role and new career challenges, especially because there are tremendous opportunities for distribution channels to bring workplace safety and added value to their customers in the metalworking and industrial cleaning industry.”

Walter Surface Technologies (Windsor, CT), a global industry leader in surface treatment technologies, has announced that Chester Collier, the senior vice-president of global distribution, has been appointed to the senior vice-president and general manager of the company’s Bio-Circle North America division.

Collier will report directly to Mike Christodoulou, the president and chief operating officer of Walter, and will be responsible for driving profitable growth and ensuring operational excellence. “Chester is a valuable asset to the company” said Christodoulou. “His extensive career spans three decades of unparalleled industry leadership and strategic partnership building. He has done an exemplary job building relationships at the executive level of our largest partners and we are delighted that he will be taking on this new challenge.”

Collier has held progressively senior positions with the company over the past 35 years. He started his career as a sales representative, doubling overall sales revenues in his first four years of employment. Following his initial role with the company, Collier became sales supervisor, where he replicated his sales success. He continued to move up through the ranks taking on the positions of regional manager and national sales manager, and then the vice president of sales.

Most recently, Collier was at the company’s global headquarters in Montreal, where he held the position of the senior vice-president of Walter Canada and, ultimately, senior vice-president of global distribution. As the senior vice-president and the general manager of Bio-Circle North America, he will be based out of the company’s U.S. headquarters in Windsor.

“I look forward to my new role and new career challenges,” adds Collier, “especially because there are tremendous opportunities for distribution channels to bring workplace safety and added value to their customers in the metalworking and industrial cleaning industry.”

Collier completed a Marketing Diploma from Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia, an Executive Management Program, in addition to an Advanced Management Program at McGill University. He is a member of the MDM (Modern Distribution Management) advisory board, and the chairman of the PTDA communications committee.
