Earlier this year, Mahr Group GmbH (Göttingen, Germany) received the Bosch Global Supplier Award 2015. “This award honors our top suppliers, who play such a key role in our success,” said Dr. Volkmar Denner, the chairman of the board of management of Robert Bosch GmbH (Gerlingen, Germany), at the award ceremony in Stuttgart, Germany.
The award was presented by Dr. Karl Nowak, the Bosch president of corporate sector purchasing and logistics, and Robert Huter, the Bosch vice president of corporate sector purchasing machinery and equipment and MRO, to Stephan Gais, the managing partner of the Mahr Group, and Uwe Kauder, the vice president of direct sales for Mahr.
In total, 58 suppliers from 11 countries were chosen to receive the award. In 2014, the Bosch Group’s purchasing volume came to around 25 billion euros, and it has some 35,000 suppliers in all. The company gives out the Global Supplier Award every two years in recognition of outstanding performance by its suppliers. Nomination criteria include technical innovation, quality, price/performance ratio, also in terms of machine lifecycle, and delivery reliability. Bosch plants worldwide are consulted as part of the decision-making process. Mahr is listed as one of the company’s “preferred suppliers,” a status which it has worked hard to achieve and has held for several years now.
This latest award from Bosch is not merely an acknowledgement of Mahr’s exceptional performance during 2013/2014. In fact, the collaboration between the two companies dates back more than 20 years, and the award recognizes the superb quality of Mahr’s products and services as well as the value for money and reliability it delivers. This is the second time since 2002 that the Mahr Group has been honored with this award.
