SAF West Hires General Manager
Sam Heier oversees anodizing and paint coating, fabrication services, and sales of aluminum sheet and extrusions.

Southern Aluminum Finishing Co. (SAF; Redding, CA) has announced the hiring of Sam Heier as the SAF West general manager over their Redding operations. He joined the company in August to manage the division’s exponential growth in recent years, following increases in both sales and plant capacity.
“My immediate focus is to manage the tremendous growth we are experiencing while keeping customers satisfied, our employees motivated, and our P&L healthy,” said Heier. “Integral to that will be to make sure our experienced team has all of the resources and support necessary to meet the challenges moving forward.” His responsibilities include overseeing Aluminum Extrusion and Sheet Sales, Anodizing and Paint Coating Operations, Fabrication Services, and the West Coast sales team.
Heier earned a BA in International Business from Pacific Union College. Since then, he has held operating management positions at companies that include Kaplan Inc., a subsidiary of Graham Holdings Company, a provider of educational services worldwide. Before joining the company he was general manager at Systems Plus Lumber Co., a roof truss manufacturer.
