SPECTRO Analytical Instruments GmbH (Kleve, Germany), a leading manufacturer of advanced metals analysis, measurement and inspection instruments, has opened a new state-of-the-art application and demonstration laboratory in Irvine, CA. The laboratory was developed “due to the remarkable growth in demand for application development support and strong interest in our next generation instrument lines,” said Mark Grey, the vice president and general manager of SPECTRO Analytical Instruments, Inc. (Fitchburg, MA).
The laboratory features the latest instrumentation and technology for elemental analysis, including inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES), X-ray fluorescence (XRF) spectroscopy, inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS), and optical emission spectroscopy using arc and spark excitation (Arc Spark OES). Grey encouraged laboratory managers, scientists, technicians, and other professionals to utilize the laboratory’s state-of-the-art analyzers and staff of lab technicians to assist in their application research, development, and troubleshooting projects.
Grey added the laboratory will also serve to host technical events, training sessions, and instrument and application demonstrations.
