OMCO (Wickliffe, OH), the largest manufacturer of custom roll formed parts in the United States, has announced the expansion of its Talladega, AL, facility. Three new roll forming lines have been installed at the plant, increasing the company’s corporate-wide capacity to over 50 active roll forming mills. This facility was acquired along with the purchase of Weaver & Sons, Inc. in Talladega in August of 2014. Since that acquisition, the plant’s workforce has more than tripled.
In addition to custom roll forming, the Talladega operation provides a broad array of metal fabrication services and enjoys a strong reputation as a manufacturer of high quality precision sheet and plate metal components, as well as a custom and contract metal fabricator. The facility manufactures complete fabricated assemblies under contract, including agricultural equipment, aircraft support equipment, and equipment for forestry, mining, foundries and other industrial applications. Services provided include welding, CNC punching, laser cutting, plasma/oxy-fuel burning, forming and rolling, and industrial painting.
Dyron Overton, the general manager of OMCO/ Weaver & Sons, stated, “As expected, our new ownership has helped produce rapid growth for our operation in Talladega, as well as an enhanced range of services for our customers.”
