Ohio Laser LLC (Plain City, OH) has added leveled and nearly totally stress free punched laser-cut and flame-cut parts to its wide range of customer services – which includes cutting tube, sheet and plate, as well as making parts and fabrication assemblies. With the new FlatMaster® 55 hydraulic precision leveler from ARKU, Ohio Laser can now handle and flatten sheet metal parts, even from high strength steel, and for thicknesses ranging from .05 mm through 12 mm. The company now offers this new leveling capability as an independent service.
The FlatMaster 55 hydraulic precision leveling system is a quick and simple process that can flatten parts in a matter of minutes, eliminating “potato chipping,” while making subsequent shop processes faster and more reliable, including robotic welding, laser cutting and MIG/TIG welding. With this added capability, the company can also reduce tooling and fixture costs for customers.
