Scotchman introduces the GAA-600-90 CNC DT20 upcut saw for non-ferrous materials and the SUP 600 NF upcut saw for aluminum extrusions.

Posted: January 12, 2016

The large capacity GAA-600-90 CNC DT20 upcut automatic saw from Scotchman is ideal for cutting non-ferrous materials at 90 deg. Its DT20 option can drill and tap holes up to 20 mm with a single spindle drill or, by adding a multi-spindle drill, add multiple holes at one time. A CNC option enables the operator to position a hole or set of holes on a single axis on the piece, then cut to length.
Ideal for cutting aluminum extrusion, the SUP 600 NF upcut saw with the Angle Master measuring system from Scotchman is a semi-automatic programmable saw system that automatically rotates to any cut angle, pushes material into the saw and automatically rotates to the next desired angle to produce a completely finished part.
On display at the show will be the 5014 TM 50 ton ironworker.
With a 14 in diameter blade that cuts 4-7/8 in OD round, the CPO 350 Circular Cold Saw from Scotchman features 135 deg mitering with a miter-locking device that automatically stops at 45 deg left, 90 deg straight, and 45 deg right to slot and notch. A double clamping and self-centering vise provides burr-free, high quality, volume parts.

In Booth S-1923, Scotchman Industries®, Inc. (Philip, SD), which has been “The Solution Preferred by Metal Fabricators” for almost half a century, is excited to present their Metal Fabricating Solutions through a complete line of Hydraulic Ironworkers, Circular Cold Saws, Band Saws, Tube & Pipe Notcher/Grinders, Manual Measuring Systems and Programmable Feed & Stop Systems.

The company announces the addition of the GAA-600-90 CNC DT20 saw to their non-ferrous saw line, with even more features and possibilities than ever before. The GAA-600 90 is a large capacity upcut automatic saw for cutting non-ferrous materials at 90 deg. This saw uses a shuttle feed design with an adjustable vertical and horizontal clamp system to fit almost any profile. Now available with a new Drill Tap (DT20) option and a new CNC option. The DT20 option gives the saw the ability to drill and tap holes up to 20 mm with a single spindle drill or, by adding a multi-spindle drill, add multiple holes at one time. Make thousands of clips fast with the GAA-600-90 DT20. Add a CNC option along with the DT option and the operator can position a hole or set of holes on a single axis on the piece, then cut to length. Adding these new options to the GAA creates a true production saw.

Also on display is the Angle Master measuring system for the SUP 600 NF upcut saw. When coupled with the Angle Master, the SUP 600 NF is a semi-automatic programmable saw system that automatically rotates to any cut angle, pushes material into the saw and automatically rotates to the next desired angle. It produces a completely finished part. Plus, cut lists can be stored on its 17 in touch screen control. This is an absolute must see for the aluminum extrusion market.

Also being displayed is the SU-280 Utility Band Saw that is now available with a gravity feed saw head. These band saws combine the cutting of a traditional band saw with the flexibility, speed and accuracy of a cold saw. The SU-280 and SU-280G can cut round material up to 8 in diameter and have a swing head with 30 deg (right) of head movement without material movement. The SU-280G offers a metered feed rate to cut through the material without operator assistance. The SU-280 features a pull-down pivoting band saw mounted on an elevated cutting table similar to the company’s line of Cold Saws.

Scotchman will also demonstrate their trusty, American-made 50514CM and 5014 TM 50 ton ironworker models with five separate work stations. Each has 50 tons of pressure and can punch a 13/16 in hole in a ¾ in plate. Standard features include angle shear, flat bar shear and rectangle notcher, and each is backed by the Best-in-the-Business 3-Year Warranty. The 50514CM has a single punch station and the 5014TM offers a three-station revolving turret punch station. Other ironworkers being demonstrated will be the fully integrated FI85 model and the DO95 dual operator model. Scotchman manufactures a full line of ironworkers ranging from 45 tons to 150 tons of pressure that are 100 percent American-made and built at their South Dakota factory.

Scotchman is also pleased to display their American-made CPO 350 Circular Cold Saw that features a double clamping and self-centering vise to provide burr-free, high quality, volume parts. This saw has 135 deg mitering ability and a miter-locking device that automatically stops at 45 deg left, 90 deg straight, and 45 deg right, giving it the ability to slot and notch. Additional machine features include a chip drawer, a double reduction gearbox, and a two-speed motor which utilizes up to a 14 in diameter blade, giving it a 4-7/8 in OD round capacity. This machine is built with dependability and versatility in mind and always comes with an outstanding 3-Year Warranty.
