Bunting Magnetics Names New General Manager
Robert Bunting has been appointed to manage their Magnet Materials Division.

Bunting® Magnetics Company (Newton, KS), a leader in moving, removing and holding metal, has announced the promotion of Robert Bunting to the general manager of their Magnet Materials Division located in Elk Grove Village, IL.
Bob Bunting, the company’s president and chief executive officer, made the announcement. “Robert’s aptitude, experience and contributions have been invaluable. I am confident his innovative thinking, sales and management skills will enhance this division’s growth, profitability and long-term strategic direction,” he stated.
Throughout high school, Robert worked at the company’s Newton headquarters in both manufacturing and engineering. Soon after his graduation from Rockhurst University, he became a member of the inside sales team at the Magnet Materials Division. His sales experience grew as an outside sales representative for the Standard Product Group, where he was recognized as one of the company’s top sales producers. He was most recently the product manager for the Metal Detection Product Group where he assumed all responsibility for sales and profitability for Metal Detection equipment. In 2014, Robert earned the product manager of the year award.
The Magnet Materials Division comprises thousands of products sold through its recently revamped website, as well as inside and outside sales initiatives. The magnets and magnetic products are shipped around the world from its warehouse located in suburban Chicago. The division has a staff of seven in sales, shipping, manufacturing and distribution.
Since the company’s 1959 founding, Bunting Magnet has been a leader in the industry in both durability and performance in its line of metal detection, magnetic separation and material handling equipment as well as printing cylinders for several global markets: recycling, food packaging and processing, feed and grain, plastics, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, offset printing, metal stamping, automobile manufacturing and more. Their facilities are located in Newton, KS; suburban Chicago, IL; DuBois, PA; and Berkhamsted, England.
