Mahr Federal Names New Director of Sales
Stuart Manser oversees the sales of precision gages in North America.

As the director of sales for precision gages in North America, he will plan and direct sales, define territories and hire staff. He will work in conjunction with the director of sales for metrology systems in North America and participate in global sales strategy meetings.
Mahr Federal Inc. (Providence, RI) has named Stuart Manser as the director of sales for their Precision Gages product line in North America. Reporting directly to their chief executive officer Tony Picone, he will be responsible for planning and directing the sales team for the product line, including defining sales territory and hiring sales staff. He will work in conjunction with the director of sales for metrology systems in North America and participate in global sales strategy meetings.
“Stuart is an experienced sales management professional with more than 20 years of solid performance, providing measurement and control solutions to multiple industrial sectors in Europe, Americas and Asia,” said Picone. “He is known for working closely with customers and building high performance sales teams by hiring, developing and motivating talented professionals. We’re happy to welcome him to our team.”
Manser was most recently the regional sales and channel manager for NDC Technologies non-contact measurement and control systems. Previously he worked for Beta LaserMike Europe as their general manager, then as their U.S. west coast regional sales and channel manager and eventually their Asia sales director. He started his sales career with a former Mahr distributor for the UK and Ireland as their technical sales manager. He also held the position of engineering metrologist while working at Rolls-Royce PLC Aero Engine division.
He attended West Herts College and St. Albans College in the UK, studying mechanical and production engineering. He and his wife Miranda have three children and, while their spare time is generally filled with age-group swimming competitions, he hopes to rekindle his passion for sailing upon relocation to Rhode Island.
