Brooks Associates, Welsh Machinery Sales and Syracuse Supply will be showcasing advanced Wire and Sinker EDM equipment.

May 2016 marks a busy month for Sodick dealers that will be holding Open House events across the Northeastern U.S., including Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, Northern Ohio, and Upstate New York. These events will be hosted by equipment dealers Brooks Associates (Norwell, MA), Welsh Machinery Sales (Cleveland, OH), and Syracuse Supply (Buffalo, NY), and will be supported by regional sales and service personnel from Sodick Inc. (Schaumburg, IL).
Kicking off these events in early May will be Brooks Associates, representing the New England area that encompasses Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Rhode Island. The open house will be located at their facility in Norwell and will showcase the popular VZ300L Wire EDM and AD35L Sinker EDM. In particular, the VZ300L has found success as an entry-model machine with a very small footprint (74.61 in x 85.83 in). Regardless of the favorable price, the VZ300L still contains the same advanced technologies associated with rigid linear motors, glass scales, ceramic components, and motion control.
Following on the heels of that sales event, Welsh Machinery Sales will hold an open house near Cleveland from May 17-19 that showcases some of Sodick’s latest Wire EDM offerings, including models with improved surface finish and AWTs with “pop up” auto-rethreading. This event will be their first open house event since the distributor joined with Numerequip to expand their capabilities.
Rounding out this marathon of events is Syracuse Supply, who will be holding their open house on May 25 at their facility in Buffalo. Of particular interest is the AG60L that will be on display that features an automatic 3-sided work tank for easy access, as well as a TMM3 power supply for machining difficult, low-conductivity work pieces. The AG60L makes use of rigid linear motor drives that accelerate fast enough to eliminate the need for flushing. Syracuse will also have on display the SLN400G wire EDM that uses the latest Smart Pulse Generator to reduce the number of passes required to achieve a desired surface finish. The SLN400G also offers an ergonomic, tablet-style control and a Fixed-Jet AWT with a “pop-up” auto-rethread function.
All of these rigid linear motor driven EDMs come with a 10-year positioning accuracy guarantee, absolute glass scales, ceramic components, and advanced motion controller.
