KOMET of America, Inc. (Shamburg, IL) and Cutting Tool Engineers (CTE; Pelham, AL), a KOMET SERVICE® partner, are pleased to announce they have attained ISO 9001:2008 certification. All KOMET partners are currently working to obtain certification and CTE is the seventh partner to have completed the certification.
This certification, established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), ensures that customers receive goods of a consistently high quality, and that all regulatory requirements are met, regardless of the nature of the product or the industry. A certification with such broad applicability naturally carries with it a great degree of steps and requirements; as such, it shows the commitment of CTE to the quality and customer assurance they share with KOMET.
“This is exciting for our partner, but it is equally exciting and motivating for us all,” stated Tom Whennen, the manager of KOMET SERVICE. “All of our partners are actively working towards ISO certification and getting closer each day. Their accomplishment shows the dedication we all have towards being ISO certified. This certification is an added stamp of quality and reliability that sets us apart in the solid carbide tooling market. Our joint dedication to quality and to our customers is unequalled.”
“We are excited to have earned our ISO 9001:2008 certification,” stated Nate Anderson, the general manager of CTE. “It is a daily practice to continually provide our clients with the best quality cutting tools our industry has to offer. By implementing this certification quality system, we have taken one more step in ensuring that we are an industry leader in the reconditioning and manufacturing of high performance cutting tools.”
CTE joined the KOMET SERVICE network in March 2015. They have been providing quality tools and services to their customers since 1979 and are experts in the manufacturing and reconditioning of metal cutting tools. They have 32 grinders with appropriate inspection and support equipment allowing them to minimize set-up and turnaround time. The delivery time on most jobs is two to three weeks, which allows the flexibility to provide service for same-day or next-day rush jobs. A close, honest, and open relationship with their customers, along with a quality product, has allowed them to grow at a constant rate over the last 37 years.
