Lantek Appoints Chief Commercial Officer
Juan Jose Colas is now responsible for global commercial strategy and business development.

As part of the implementation of its strategic plan 2016-2018, Lantek Sheet Metal Solutions, S.L. (Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain) has appointed Juan Jose Colas as the chief commercial officer. He takes a seat on their board of directors and is responsible for global commercial strategy and business development for the corporation.
As a special task considering the importance of the strategic plan 2016-2018, he has under his direct responsibility two key markets, the UK and France. He has very strong development plans for these markets and they are a very important challenge.
“Juan has successfully managed operations in several countries during the last few years,” noted Alberto Martínez, the chief executive officer of the company. “He takes this position at a time when we are well poised for growth and our team worldwide is fully geared to leverage the new market opportunities and contribute to the growth of software solutions for the sheet metal industry.”
Prior to this role, Colas worked for the industrial machinery business Fagor Arrasat as their commercial director in the implementation of off-shore production in China. More recently, he occupied chief executive officer positions at an automotive components manufacturing company and in an electronic equipment development and distribution group.
“As a market leader we must exploit the opportunities that we have in each market to increase our market share by promoting our concept in each and every customer that pursues competitiveness in the sheet metal industry,” stated Colas after joining the company. “We are setting the pace, both technologically and commercially, as one of the drivers of Industry 4.0,”
Lantek provides CAD/CAM/MES/ERP software for fabricating sheet metal, tubes and beams with any cutting (laser, plasma, oxy-fuel, waterjet, shear) and punching technology. They integrate some of the most advanced nesting software in the industry, with the highest standards in manufacturing management solutions. They have over 17,000 clients in more than 100 countries, offices in 15 countries, and a wide network of distributors providing worldwide coverage. In 2015 their international operations provided 88 percent of turnover.
