SLM Solutions NA, Inc. (Novi, MI), the North American presence of the publically traded SLM Solutions Group AG (Lübeck, Germany), continues to expand its workforce to support its customers. Coming off a strong 2015 of increased orders and an ever growing customer base, it was clear to management that more employees were needed in key areas of operation. Joining the team in the first quarter of the year were three new field service engineers, two regional sales managers, a new marketing manager and dedicated employees for service coordination, shipping and receiving.
Mark Hoefing, the executive vice president of the company, was pleased to announce the growth of this team. “We want to provide the best customer service on the market to match our best-in-class machines, and it became evident that we simply needed more manpower to achieve this,” he said. “As our increased sales and marketing efforts focus on developing our market share, our operations received a large boost by nearly doubling the size of the service team. As all of these employees complete their training we are already seeing the many benefits of streamlined operations, an effect we hope our customers see as well.”
Bringing a wealth of experience to the team, Ben Arnold and Rusty McDonald joined the team to take over the Northeast and Southeast Regions, respectively. Both come to the company with extensive knowledge in the field of additive manufacturing and business development for innovative high technology products. In their new roles they are responsible for educating contacts on the benefits of metal additive manufacturing systems.
