Surfcam Partners with SMTCL Americas

Surfcam software by Vero Software Ltd. (Gloucestershire, UK) and machine tool manufacturer SMTCL Americas (City of Industry, CA) have signed a partnership agreement dedicated to offering the best manufacturing technologies and highest level of customer support to their joint customers. “We are very proud to enter into a partnership with them,” stated Jerry McCarty, the chief operating officer of SMTCL. “This partnership will allow us to bring our customers a new level of service that will help make their machine tools more productive and their businesses more competitive.”

Seamless interoperability between Surfcam 3D CAM software and SMTCL machine tools is the foundation of this partnership, which will benefit shops who adopt both technologies. This software balances feature sets with ease of use on SMTCL milling, boring, turning, and drilling machines for automotive, aerospace, defense, medical, energy, construction, and consumer goods applications.

“We work together to create SMTCL-approved corporate post processors so that shops are productive quicker when they buy our joint solution,” stated Vic Baker, the strategic partner manager in the Americas for Vero Software. Among the projects where the partners have joined forces is the creation of a rotary-table package that will include the software and deliver a turnkey option to machine tool users. Additionally, they will work jointly as a customer-support resource when users encounter technical glitches related to running CNC programs.
