Automation is a key part of almost all manufacturing today. With so much time and effort being invested in automating and streamlining production, it is imperative to keep these machines in working order. Almost all automated machinery is connected by quick disconnect electrical connectors for faster replacement – and without good quality connectors, shops will spend even more time and money replacing these connectors. In Booth E-4152, Mencom Corporation (Oakwood, GA) will display Industrial Automation Connectors that are ideal for power, data, communication, sensing, or any other application used in manufacturing automation.

The Mencom power distribution series provides a cost effective and time efficient plug-and-play solution for the industrial motor, machine and power applications inside a shop. These easy to use industrial circular connectors provide a quick disconnect option for applications that demand more power. The MINI power distribution series is available in 3-pole, 4-pole and 7-pole configurations, with a full line of accessories that include adapter plugs, closure caps and plugs, and integrated cable drops. A variety of tees is also available to create the main trunk cable with quick disconnect drops to distribute power to multiple machines throughout the system. Common applications for the Mencom power distribution system include:

  • Automated machine tools
  • Distributed motor control
  • Material handling
  • Packaging equipment
  • Robotic systems

This power distribution series is completely modular, which means the user can mix and match assorted parts on the installation to reduce installation time and the need for specialized tools or labor that is typically used for traditional conduit or raceway installations. The result is faster, easier, and more reliable than hardwiring, and offers attractive overall cost savings for the installation.
