In Booth E-5919, Smartware Group, Inc. (Center Harbor, NH) will showcase the first native mobile application for Bigfoot CMMS, the cloud-based asset and equipment management software used by maintenance teams worldwide. The app offers a robust suite of capabilities for maintenance professionals on the go and is included with a Bigfoot CMMS Enterprise+ subscription for both existing and future users. Developed for iOS and Android devices, the Bigfoot mobile app provides maintenance professionals with easy access to core CMMS functionality using the same login credentials as the browser-based Bigfoot system. Leveraging an intuitively-designed interface, users can quickly navigate parts, work orders and assets through the app’s QR code or swipe gesture functionality. The app’s built-in camera integration also provides users with the ability to upload and associate images to assets, work orders and parts.

“Today’s technologies afford us unprecedented options to advance our system, particularly within a mobile environment,” explained Paul Lachance, the president of Smartware. “We continue to push the envelope for higher design and functionality quality in order to better enhance the maintenance management experience for our users.” The mobile app also features a geo-tagging capability that allows users to visually map all of their assets, parts and work orders by location. The feature enables users to assess all necessary repairs, current equipment status and preventive maintenance while updating in real time, regardless of whether they are onsite or enroute to a particular area. The app also provides offline editing access to work order data when outside of WiFi or cellular connection, allowing users to simply sync when back online.

A comprehensive survey of more than 100 manufacturers showed that 34 percent of respondents stated they don’t capture operational asset data at all. Of the 60 percent that said they are capturing this data, two-thirds said they do so manually. “There is a demonstrated market need for an app like ours that is both highly usable and functional,” noted Lachance. “With so many organizations still neglecting asset data collection, combined with a market shift towards mobile accessibility, we hope to elevate and improve the maintenance management software standard for both our users and the maintenance industry as a whole, to help them capture and utilize this valuable data where and when they need it.” Bigfoot CMMS Enterprise+ users can download the app from Google Play or the Apple App store using their existing login credentials.
