Sapa Opens French Fabrication Facility
The 2,400 sq m machine shop in Le Garric helps them offer more complex parts to consolidate their position in the aluminium extrusion sector in France.

Sapa Extrusion France opened their new 2,400 sq m machining workshop at the Le Garric site, north of Albi, that provides additional production capacity to expand its machining capabilities and enhance its product line. The capacity will allows the company to offer more complex parts to current and future customers.
The company is consolidating their position in the aluminium extrusion sector in France by investing in new value-added services in Le Garric and extending their ability to meet the growing needs of customers. “This new workshop will enable us to meet the growing needs of our customers,” says Gilles Le Bouquin, the managing director of Sapa Extrusion France. “Our key skills lie in providing aluminium solutions and state-of-the-art machining.”
Sapa began this project in 2010 and has invested approximately two million euros in the industrial facility, including new equipment. The increased machining activity also will allow the company to create some 27 new jobs. The Le Garric shop offers the following services:
- Aluminium extrusion
- Surface treatment (lacquering)
- Machining
- Logistics
- Quality control laboratory
- Technical center
