BLM Group USA (Wixom, MI), a global leader in the manufacture of tube processing equipment, recently hosted ‘Tube Innovation Week’ at their Wixom headquarters to bring customers and suppliers together to focus on the company’s latest technologies.
Highlighting the week-long event were live demonstrations and technical presentations on several of their products, including the LT FREE five-axis laser cutting system for three-dimensional parts, bent tubes, hydroformed tubes, welded assemblies and stamped or flat sheet; the all new LT8.10, a three-dimensional fiber laser tube cutting system; the E-TURN, a tube bending system for left or right hand bending, single or multiple radii, with simultaneous load/unload; the E-FLEX wire bender that is able to bend wire up to 8 mm; and the unique LC5 fiber laser system that can cut tube and flat sheet all in one machine.
Also on hand were demonstrations of BLMelements, a proprietary suite of tube processing software for programming, simulation, production and monitoring of bending, laser tube cutting and sawing technologies all from one source. “We were very pleased with the response and excited by the interaction and discussions with customers and prospects alike,” said Jeff Ahrstrom, the company president and chief operating officer. “It was a week that we will not forget and it makes us more focused on the job ahead, working with customers to provide the best tube processing technology solutions available.”
The company also announced its plans to move into a new, larger, 75,000 sq ft headquarters and Tech Center in 2017 that will more than double the space of the current facility and provide even greater access for customers to explore the company’s tube processing technologies. “Our new headquarters and tech center will bring a wealth of knowledge to the market and our customers,” noted Mauro Corno, the company vice president of technical services. “Our commitment to customer service and support has always been high and this expansion only reinforces that focus. It continues to be an exciting time for us.”
