As students begin to make college and vocational training plans for the fall, Bunting® Magnetics Company (Newton, KS), a leader in moving, removing and holding metal, has announced that 12 students have been selected to receive 2016-2017 scholarships in memory of the company’s founders, Walter F. and June A. Bunting.

Bunting Memorial Scholarships are awarded to college-age children of the company’s worldwide employees who are seeking a higher education either through college or vocational training. These 12 recipients will receive $500 each to go toward tuition and related expenses, bringing the total amount donated to $83,000 since the fund’s inception in 2000.

“Higher education was very important to my parents, for whom these scholarships are named,” stated Bob Bunting, the company president and chief executive officer. “Like every year, this group of students we’ve selected have wonderful commitment and drive and are sure to be great leaders in our communities and businesses. Through this fund, our company is excited to support their pursuit of education and exploration of career paths.”
